New Zealand - Auckland, 10 March 2011

After a 5 hour flight we arrived in New Zealand having lost 1 day. We are now GMT +13 hours until they put the clocks back and the UK goes forward, then we will be GMT +11 hours. Are you confused yet? Well we are having crossed the dateline we became a day older.

Craic - as they say in Ireland
Auckland is surrounded by volcanoes. We took a trip to Rangitoto Island which is only 400 years old. It was formed from a volcanic eruption and is a haven for plants and animals endangered on the mainland, and tourists.
